Autumn Art Market 2025

Earlier in 2025, The North Shore Artist League (NSAL) admitted me into their ranks. A wholesome and supportive collection of budding and tenured creatives, the NSLA spews opportunities at one another like an Amazonian fish shooting down insects from leaves. One such notice vouched for the 6th Annual Art in Autumn Market. Hosted by Duluth Studio Market, the organizer routinely sees upwards of 6x typical foot traffic at this event.

Naturally, Rockosophy took up the chance to explore outdoor art markets. I ordered a light blue 10x10' canopy tent and sent in my registration fee. The day of, I set-up with two lovely buds and we all learned how not to come prepared for an outdoor market. Still! I nearly sold out of hand-embroidered flour sack towels (after lowering my prices by 25%) and two folks came up and stared at one of my full-color 30x40cm oil prints. One was specifically looking for colored original art pieces to fill a present gap in her wall of slightly abstract original artwork. I slanted down the website address half a handful of times, bonded with the Deadhead woman who fawned over all four Secular Saints on display, and cut a few savvy deals. All in all, sales covered the exact amount invested in both registration fee and cost of the canopy tent.

A great first outdoor market! Expectedly, the image here is the only one I have access to. At the request of interested parties, there are now portfolios on this site for prints and towel designs. If you happen to have some of my towels and feel like adding it to the array of surviving images, please go ahead and send me a snap of what you've got. Inventory turns over quickly and I could only upload the few towels I brought to this market. The rest and those before being sold at Duluth's Dovetail Market or sent off as gifts.

Be well.
